FOCUS New System Installation & Implementation Requirements
To make your Focus implementation a smooth & successful one, there are some basic requirements that must be in place before our team can install your Focus Point of Sale System.

Electrical sign-off Before Focus can install your system, you must have the final sign-off from your electrical inspector. Due to the sensitive components used in a point of sale system, Focus will not install if you have not received your final electrical sign-off from the necessary inspectors.

Restaurant must have a reduced dust environment This means that all heavy construction must be completed. While the Focus POS terminals are fan free, touch screens & other vital components can be susceptible to damage caused by fine dust that can be present during construction.

Permanent countertops must be in place & applicable holes drilled If your Focus equipment is being placed on a countertop, the countertop must be completely installed. During the installation process our team will dress all POS wiring to make the installation as clean and presentable as possible.

High-speed internet access must be installed and operational Several Focus components rely on a stable internet connection. Therefore your internet access must be in place prior to the Focus installation.

Management staff hired and able to commit to and retain full POS training Your management staff must be on-hand for all Focus POS training sessions. This will ensure that your management team is properly equipped to operate your Focus POS System once it has gone live.

Network wiring completed Network wiring must be in place and ready for testing. If structured network wiring is not in place, Focus can recommend low-voltage electricians to complete the task. Installation cannot proceed until network wiring is completed.

Credit card merchant account must be in place & ready to program If you are accepting credit cards at your restaurant, your merchant account must be opened with a Focus Certified Payment Processor. |
Please note, these pre-installation requirements are in place to ensure that your FOCUS system is installed and fully operational in the most efficient manner possible. If the above items are not completed when the FOCUS Install Team arrives, there may be delays in installing your system. Additional charges may apply.
If your installation is delayed and needs to be rescheduled, please contact your Project Manager a minimum of 48 hours in advance. If a FOCUS install needs to be rescheduled with less than 48 hour notice, or after the installation team has arrived at your restaurant, a $360 rescheduling fee will be charged to your account.
