EMV Quick Chip Support

BACKGROUND
EMV Chip Card processing is a time consuming exchange of data between the EMV PinPad and the Backend Host Processor (credit card processor). To increase adoption, EMVCo has developed new Quick Chip technology to decrease the processing time of an EMV Chip transaction.

At present, only certain processors & EMV PinPads support Quick Chip, and therefore only certain EMV Drivers support this technology.

INGENICO
As of 10/9/2017, only Ingenico iPP320 devices support Quick Chip on RBA 21 loaded for�EMV KERNEL 0467. This is NOT the standard Kernel for Ingenico devices, and therefore the device must be ordered specifically with this Kernel.

Ingenico devices running EMV KERNEL 0467 must use Datacap dsiEMVUS client 1.17 or newer.
Ingenico devices running EMV KERNEL 0526 cannot use Datacap dsiEMVUS client 1.17 and must use dsiEMVUS Client 1.16.
