Connecting Focus On Handheld to WiFi

To connect your Focus On Handheld to your WiFi Network, you'll need two pieces of information before starting:

1. Your WiFi Name (also know as SSID).
   1. This is the name that your WiFi Access Points broadcast to allow you to identify them.
2. Your WiFi Password
   1. While the Focus On Handheld utilizes Secure Point to Point Encryption and connects to the FocusLink Cloud, having a secure WiFi Network is not a requirement. But there is considerable risk in having unsecured WiFi networks, so best to use a secure one.

Once you've obtained these values, follow the steps below:

1. Turn on your Focus On HH
2. Once the HH has loaded, you should be on the default home page.
3. Using your finger swipe down from the top of the screen to pull down the Notification Center
4. The WiFi Icon is the icon at the top left and looks similar to this:
   
5. Press and hold on the WiFi icon.
6. The WLAN selection screen will pop up.
   1. If you're currently connected to a network, that network will appear at the top of the list. Under the WiFi Name (SSID) you'll see the word "Connected"
7. All WiFi networks within range of your HH will appear on the list:
   
8. Touch on the WiFi Network that you need to connect to.
9. If the WiFi Network is a Secured network, you'll be prompted to enter the Password:
   
10. Enter in the Password for the WiFi Network you're attempting to connect to.
    1. If you do not know your WiFi Network Password, you'll need to contact the IT person who setup your WiFi or consult the documentation that came with your WiFi Network.
    2. Note: The Focus Helpdesk does not maintain lists of our Client's WiFi Passwords.
11. After entering the WiFi Network Security Key or Password, press "CONNECT"
12. If the Password was correct, your HH will start connecting to your WiFi network, and you should be good to go.

If you're unable to connect to your WiFi Network, your Focus On HH won't work. You'll need to contact an IT Professional to assist you in connecting your On HH to your WiFi. Your On HH is running Android OS and the WiFi connection process is not part of the Focus On app.
