Manually Settle Credit Card Batch

There are two ways to manually settle a credit card batch in FOCUS.
One way is from the Front of House Functions page, the other is from Back of House (Focus Setup).

1. Setting batch from Front of House Functions
   1. Log in to FOCUS POS Order Entry/Front of House using a Manager's access code.
      1. The employee's job must have the job right Payments - Batch Credit Cards turned ON to settle credit card batch
   2. Locate the FUNCTIONS button to take you to the Manager Functions canvas
   3. The fourth column is Credit Cards
   4. Press the Batch button (typically third button down from the Credit Cards heading)
   5. The Batch windows will now appear and provide you with an opportunity to review your credit card batch details.
   6. If you are ready to settle your batch, press the Settle button at the bottom left of the Batch window.
      1. Please note: DO NOT press Settle if the batch amount is all zeros (0). Pressing Settle for a zero dollar batch will result in a batch failure, increased fees from your credit card processor and a call to the Focus Helpdesk to reset the Credit Card Processing System.
   7. You will be prompted to confirm that you're settling the batch, if you're sure you want to batch press Yes
      1. Please note: Once you settle your batch, you CANNOT go back and edit credit card tips. Tips that were missed will not be credited to the restaurant's bank account. That money will be lost.
   8. The batch settlement process will begin.
   9. Batch settlement time can take anywhere from one minute to thirty minutes based on the credit card processor and transaction volume.
2. Settling batch from Back of House (Focus Setup)
   1. Log in to Focus Back of House (Focus Setup) by pressing the wrench icon from the Focus Log In Screen
   2. Select Setup
   3. Enter a Manager's access code
      1. The employee's job must have the job right Payments - Batch Credit Cards turned ON to settle credit card batch
   4. Navigate to the Batch function by selecting Close Day > Credit Cards > Batch
   5. The Batch windows will now appear and provide you with an opportunity to review your credit card batch details.
   6. If you are ready to settle your batch, press the Settle button at the bottom left of the Batch window.
   7. You will be prompted to confirm that you're settling the batch, if you're sure you want to batch press Yes
