FocusLink: EMV Monitoring
Payments in the modern world are increasingly complex. As such, FocusLink features an EMV Monitoring agent that continuously monitors payment transaction activity insuring that transaction are processed and recorded properly

If your restaurant is processing payments using FocusPay (powered by Shift4 Payments), this function applies to you. Otherwise, you can disregard any notices concerning this function.
FocusLink Employee Messaging is a simple monitoring function and should not have any issues that require intervention or action.
If the FocusLink EMV Messaging function is not working, it could be that the Focus "EMV" folder is inaccessible to FocusLink. Confirm that the emv folder exists in your Focus directory (typically \\focus\c\focus\emv). If it does not exist, simply restarting Focus POS will resolve the issue.
