LevelUp Setup

For FOCUS to communicate to LevelUp, you must enter in four sets of credentials, all of which are provided by LevelUp:

• User Name
  • Specific to the brand/restaurant group
• Password
  • Specific to the username, therefore specific to the brand/restaurant group
• API Key
  • Specific to the POS System
• Location ID
  • Specific to the Individual Location

These values are entered into FOCUS Setup > Miscellaneous > nFocus/Online Ordering/Tabbed Out > LevelUp tab

After you've entered the applicable credentials. Press Register.

Focus will then communicate to LevelUp's cloud and register the Username, Password, API Key and Location ID.

Once registered a Token will be generated and will appear in the Token field under Acquired Access Token.

 Setting up LevelUp Discount & LevelUp Payments 

After you've setup your LevelUp Credentials, you need to assign Discounts and Payments for FOCUS to attach LevelUp transactions to.

The first one we'll setup is the discount.

Go to FOCUS Setup > Order Entry > Discounts

Find an open Discount slot and configure the discount as shown to the right.

The discount should be:

• Type: Item $
• Options:
  • Active
  • Discount Order Type Charges
  • Item $ Allocate

Next, we're going to setup your Payments. You'll be creating two payments. One for the LevelUp Credit Card and the other for LevelUp Gift Cards.

Go to FOCUS Setup > Order Entry > Payments

For the LevelUp Credit:

• Type:
  • Credit Card
• Credit Card Type:
  • Other
• Options:
  • None selected
• Field Options:
  
  • None selected

For the LevelUp Gift:

• Type:
  • Gift Certificate
• Options:
  • None selected
• Field Options:
  • None selected

The last step is to go back to FOCUS Setup > Miscellaneous > nFocus/Online Ordering/Tabbed Out > LevelUp tab and select the records that you just created into their respective fields:

• Amount Discount Mapping:
  • LevelUp Discnt
• Credit Card Payment Mapping:
  • LevelUp Credit
• Gift Card Payment Mapping:
  • LevelUp Gift

Setting up LevelUp Package Button

Now that you have setup your LevelUp Credentials and created your LevelUp Field Mappings, the last step is to setup your LevelUp Package.

This is the button that you place on a canvas to trigger the LevelUp service in your FOCUS system.

Go to FOCUS Setup > Order Entry > Packages

Locate an unused package

• Name:
  • LevelUp
• Command
  1. Select All
  2. Fire
  3. LevelUp

Save your new package.

Go to FOCUS Setup > Menu > Canvas Designer (or press the Canvases button)

Locate your Payments canvas, or any canvas where you want to place the package.

Right-click on the Canvas and select Add > Package

Single left click on the canvas to create the Package button.

Adjust the size of the button how you see fit and select the Screen Format that you desire for the button from the Canvas Inspector.

On Canvas Inspector's Item field, select your new LevelUp package.
