What is the Focus + DoorDash Integration?

FocusOnline user can now integrate their Focus System with their DoorDash account. Very similar to other Delivery Service Provider integrations Focus has, orders from the DoorDash will flow directly into your Focus system.

Even better, your menu will directly sync with DoorDash. No more having to update your menu in the DoorDash portal. Changes made to your menu in Focus will automagically flow through FocusLink to DoorDash.

How much does this cost?

DoorDash integration is included in your FocusOnline Subscription at no additional cost! That means eligible FocusCloud users get DoorDash integration for free.

Wait, so how does my menu sync with DoorDash?

A little bit of magic. First off, as you know, you don't enter in descriptions of your delicious food items into Focus. Typically your serving staff won't need descriptions.

That's where FocusOnline comes in, FocusOnline serves as the place for you to "decorate" your menu both for Online Ordering sale and the DSP integrations Focus offers.

From FocusOnline, you get to pick what Focus Price Number is used for your various DSP integrations. That way you can charge a wee-bit more for a DoorDash order than you do for an order coming from FocusOnline or an order organically handled in-store.

So what gets updated automatically?

Everything that matters. When you change any of the properties that DoorDash needs to know about, Focus updates those in the cloud automatically. Including Guest Check Name, ID, the price you use for DoorDash and the stock status of your item.

1. First you need to make sure you're set up for FocusOnline. If you're not, none of this will work 😢

2. Ok, now that you're signed up for FocusOnline, there is some behind the scenes stuff we need to do to link your restaurant to DoorDash. Don't worry, this is temporary and we'll have it all automated in the future.

3. Alright, we're almost done. The next thing you'll need to do is make sure you have the appropriate prices selected to sync with DoorDash.
   You do that in the FocusOnline Admin Portal. Here is an article detailing that out
4. And the last step is to make sure your Focus system is ready for DoorDash.
